How the CDCP Works

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a program from the Government of Canada designed to make dental care more affordable for people who don’t have private dental insurance. If your household income is under $90,000, you may qualify for reduced cost or fully covered dental services through this plan. Coverage under the CDCP is based on your adjusted family net income, which is assessed through your most recent tax return.

Our office charges only the CDCP’s established fees, we never bill above CDCP the approved rates. This means no out-of-pocket costs for services fully covered by the CDCP for those with 100% coverage and lower out-of-pocket expenses if you have a co-pay. If you need help confirming your coverage or eligibility, we’re happy to assist.

Adjusted Family Net Income CDCP Covers You Cover (Co-payment)
Under $70,000 100% of eligible services at CDCP rates 0%
$70,000 – $79,999 60% of eligible services at CDCP rates 40% of CDCP rates
